Madison Historical Society Frederick Lee Lecture

Sunday, January 25, 2026

All MHS lifetime learners should be sure to put the 2026 Frederick Lee Lectures on your new calendars! This year's theme is “Madison200: Insights into our History”—and our slate of expert presenters promise an engaging exploration of the evolution of Madison. Researcher Jim Powers presents the first lecture on the Hammonassetts. Noted for their sharp focus on local and regional history, the Frederick Lee Lectures are now in their nineteenth year. This engaging series of monthly history presentations in midwinter is offered by local scholars, authors, and resident researchers. The presentation takes place in Hubley Hall at the First Congregational Church of Madison.
